The team started with an original group of 6 members, all acting students, having studied theatre/film in the Vancouver area. The original group consisted of the following 6 members; Luke Johnson, Rachelle Tomm, Andrew Job, Tracy Shut, Jessie Crabbe and Blake Cuthbertson.
After performing a show on December 20th 2010, at the Heritage Grill, Unscripted Chaos got the amazing opportunity and was asked to perform a regular show the following January. Unscripted Chaos performed every Wednesday at the Heritage Grill at 9pm, for a year, having their final at that venue on December 7th 2011.
In early September the group lost two of its original members, Jessie Crabbe and Tracy Schut, due to educational pursuits. However, the group warmly welcomed Alex Parra and Evan Hall into it's regular cast.
After taking a month's leave from performing, Unscripted Chaos came into contact with the local improv community at Rowan's Roof in Kitsilano in late January 2012. Throughout the months of January to May, Unscripted Chaos performed regularly at Rowan's Roof bringing forth their best short form and occasionally dabbling into the realm of long form improv.
On March 13th 2012, Unscripted Chaos was invited to perform at the local Improv Battle Fight Club at Cafe Deux Soleil on Commercial Drive. Battling against the Port Coquitlam group of" Sudden Death Improv" from Second Storey Theatre; Unscripted Chaos took home the title of "Champions of the 'Burbs", representing groups from outside the central Vancouver region.
In April 2012, two members, Alex Parra and Andrew Job formed their two man group, the "Dynamic Duo" which specialized in a unique long form set-up. Performing two shows at Rowan's Roof where they were warmly received by the audience.
In early May 2012, member Rachelle Tomm enthusiastically joined the resident cast at Second Storey Theatre with Sudden Death Improv, whom were previous competitors at the improv battle, the month prior. Rachelle now performs in regular Friday and Saturday night shows with Sudden Death Improv, along with Unscripted Chaos shows. Later that month, member Andrew Job moved to London, UK to partake in family commitments, thus taking an indefinite leave from the group. Unscripted Chaos wishes him the best in his travels and awaits his reunion into the group.
In August 2012, Unscripted Chaos was invited back to the Improv Battle Fight Club to take on another improv group, the Grizzlies. After 2 hours of back and forth duelling, Unscripted Chaos walked away with yet another championship win.
The group continues to performs regularly throughout Vancouver, looking to expand their reach to even more venues.
